DIY Theatre is proud to present Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta Iolanthe. This magical musical follows banished fairy, Iolanthe, who after 25 years of banishment is pardoned by the Fairy Queen. This is just the start of the magical mayhem, which also focuses on Iolanthe’s half mortal son, Strephon, his beloved, Phyllis, the Lord Chancellor, his pompous parade of Peers and a flittering flock of frolicking fairies.

The cast includes some familiar DIY faces, Aidan Lack as Lord Mountararat and Bella Sharipova-Williams as the Fairy Queen, some old friends returning after many years, welcome back Harriet Spring as the fairy Celia, as well as some exciting DIY debuts, a warm welcome to Ocean Down as fairy Leila .
